Back in August of 2007, the Fox found herself looking at a great opportunity - her very own domain. She had known she wanted her own domain for quite some time. It helped that she knew and trusted the site that was offering to let her make one - for free. Of course she would still need to read into it before signing up. What she read only made her more enthralled with the idea. One day she might have a website to go with her domain.
With the possibility of having her own website running through her mind, she signed up for the domain. When doing so, she had to pause. She needed a good name for her domain. Preferably she wanted one that would not have yet been thought of and one that was unique. It took her a minute, but finally she came to a good compilation of names she used for one thing or another. She came up with Cloudy Air Fox. It was the perfect mix of her favorite sky setting, one of her favorite elements, and her favorite animal. Now all she needed to do was decide on whether to use .com, .net, or .org. She said them to herself and found that CloudyAirFox.Net just fit.
Once it was fully created, the Fox was estatic. All sorts of ideas planted themselves into her mind for what she could do with her own site. She could have a place to link all her own stuff, and that of her cohorts, a place for her and her friends to hang out no matter where they were, and some place for her to be herself and in control. Oh the ideas were just endless for what she could do.
August of 2009 seemed to sneak up on the Fox. Two years had passed since she had made her little domain. Man did things ever change. What was once just @cloudyairfox.net was now CloudyAirFox.Net. She now had her very own website. While still small, she could not have been happier.
Is it not amazing what can happen when you take a little chance?
So far you have heard truth, but what is it The Fox wants to claim to be the history?
The year was 2007. Summer was ending and school was back in session. Students grumbled about having to get up early, and others about wasting their days learning. The Fox smiled at the thought of this as she ate her breakfast. She was glad to have been moved to homeschooling, for more then one reason.
Her grandfather now needed help with her grandmother, and maybe help for himself as well. They were both getting up in age and probably need more professional help then she could give. Sadly they didn't want any strangers in the house. She shook her head slightly as she was pulled from her thoughts by both finishing their food. The Fox picked up the dishes before heading to the sink to wash them. This was pretty much how every morning went since she came over to stay. Well, some things had changed.
Like how now she excused herself to go back to 'her' room to study a little before she got on the computer. Just a week ago she'd joined a site called Gaia Online. She'd received an email with a friend request/invite to join a good half a year before. Yes, it had taken her that long to decide to join it. Now, she loved it. It was so much fun, and was interactive with other people. At that point in time, she didn't realize how happy she'd be to have joined.
---
A couple of weeks later found her asking one of her friends - she really liked him - to be her boy friend. It was amusing. They hadn't known each other for too long, yet both felt something. So it was agreed that they'd start internet dating. However, they did not for see that Gaia would run into lag problems which made it hard for them to 'be together'.
It was with thoughts like those roaming in her mind, that the Fox made to sign into her email. Before she could though, her provider's add caught her attention. They were offering free domain names. Knowing she did want one, and that she trusted her provider, she checked it out. What she found made her happy beyond believe. Getting the domain would be just like her email, only with the possibility of having her own website down the line. The main thing though, was that she could make email addresses for her friends with it and they would then be able to use her providers IM application. That meant she and her boyfriend wouldn't have to worry about a website behaving so that they could chat.
With this thought in mind, she signed up. Thus, CloudyAirFox.Net was born.

The Fox smiled as she looked at her computer screen. The rain of late Summer and early fall pattering against her window. It had been two years since she first started her domain, and now it was a small website. More importantly, it'd been two years since she and her love met. After all, without him, CloudyAirFox.Net wouldn't have come to be. Her smile turned down a little. He had originally lived two thousand miles from her meaning they couldn't physically be together. Which first made her sign up for a marathon that took her closer to him and they got to be together for all of thirty hours. Yet, now he has moved to be a thirteen hour drive away. Though on his way there he stopped by to spend time with her, that week still feels too short.
She shook her head as thunder clapped outside. With a sigh she looked at the computer again. Her smile returned. 'At least we can still be together through you.' The Fox spoke mentally to the website before she shut it down with another thought. 'After all, our being together is why you were made.'

The end

The Fox realizes this story is probably a little on the lame side, but it is near 100% factual to the more personal reason for why this website was made.
